Ag Skills Day 2008
Introducing students to, and promoting the awareness of, the diverse range of skills in the agricultural industry.
Students from St Lawrence’s, Baradine, Binnaway and Coonabarabran High Schools were given the opportunity to learn specific agricultural skills from experienced professionals in the community at our annual Agskills Day. Students were able to make a radio interview and hear themselves on ABC Radio the next day, they learnt about pasture assessment and soil health, cattle assessment, AI, NLIS, welding, horse training, low stress stock handling, sheep dog training, rope making, knot tying, halter making, were exposed to rare poultry rare breeds, welding, servicing small engines, auctioneering, first aid and firearm safety. Thankyou to all the presenters, we all had a fantastic day.
