The annual swimming carnival was held on Wednesday, 11 February. Fortunately the weather was kind to us. Although it was still warm, students did not have to deal with the extremes of the preceding week. Overall participation was excellent which created a very positive atmosphere throughout the day.
Many students were dressed in house colours and perhaps next year we might have a best dressed competition. The novelty swimthroughs proved to be popular and gave students the opportunity to work as a team to score points for their house.
Mopra was successful in winning the carnival with Timor in second place. The age champions were as follows: 12yrs: Alex Jerry/Phoebe Hensby, 13yrs: Sam Douglas/Mikaela Munns, 14yrs: Liam Martin/Jacinta Hayes, 15yrs: Zac Khodary/Lucy Dowling, 16yrs: Josh Douglas, Ben Korf & Troy Evans/Georgia Hunt, Senior: Brent Morrissey/Keira Daniels &Rachel McWhirter.
