The students aren't the only people at Coonabarabran High School working hard on their studies and gaining achievements. Science teacher Peter Morrissey has been acknowledged by Wollongong University for research carried out as part of his Doctorate studies.
Mr. Morrissey received the inaugural “Education Alumni Innovation in Information Technology Award” as part of the Faculty of Education's Annual Awards. This Award was created by a committee made up of past graduates from the Faculty of Education in recognition of Mr. Morrissey's research work at the University and included a Prize of $100. Mr. Morrissey is working towards the completion of a Doctorate of Education.
Coonabarabran High School Principal Mr. Kevin Sharp said that it was pleasing to see that the hard work put in by the teachers at the school is being recognized in an appropriate manner. "The teachers at Coonabarabran High extend themselves to provide the best and most current education for students and it wonderful to have a prestigious Educational Institution in the University of Wollongong publicly recognise this" Mr. Sharp said.
