On Monday, 5 May, the Coonabarabran High School girls squash team travelled to Tamworth to play in the North West Region Final against Armidale High School. The team consisting of Keira Daniels, Gabi Olsen, Simone Munns and Holly Purdy made a clean sweep of the opposition, beating them 4 rubbers to nil. Scores in order of seeding were:
Keira Daniels beat Heidi Stoessal 15 - 8, 15 - 9, 15 - 8
Gabi Olsen beat Nikki Frost 15 - 4, 15 - 8, 15 - 9
Simone Munns beat Lauren Weston 15 - 11, 15 - 10, 15 - 7
Holly Purdy beat Nikki Mendes 12 - 15, 10 - 15, 15 - 9, 15 - 9, 15 - 12
These girls are now the North West Champions and have all been selected to play for the North West Team in the State Championships at the end of this term. Congratulations!
