Lawn Bowls

Coonabarabran played the first round of the Combined High Schools Lawn Bowls knock out on Wednesday 5th March against Quirindi High School. Quirindi arrived in high spirits with two girls and one boy, to play our team consisting of two girls and one boy. This combination is quite unusual as most teams in the North West region consist mainly of boys. Our team consisting of Claire Bennell as lead, Kassandra Wilson as second and Tim Wilkinson as skip accounted for Quirindi 45 to 2 after 19 ends and the mercy rule was applied. Coonabarabran now has to play Gunnedah in the second round.
