Boys Education
A seminar was held for Year 6, 7, 8 and 9 boys on Wednesday, 1 April which addressed issues such as self-esteem, bullying and hostile behaviour.
This program which was supported by both the Primary and High schools, also acknowledged the positive aspect of school life, the opportunities available and the importance of being involved in extra-curricular activities both within the school and the community.
Mr Enks, Deputy Principal of Coonabarabran High School made it clear to the boys that it is a minority of students who display this immature and un-manly behaviour and that the majority of students demonstrate respect for others and respect for themselves.
Mr Enks would like to acknowledge the valuable contribution made by Year 12 boy Captain, Raju Jaiswal, community members Morag Baker, Keith Hull and Macca McKernan and School Police Liason officer John Croger. Their presentations were well received by the students. |
