Local Students Commended for Performance in the Science International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) Tests
Students from Coonabarabran High School achieved outstanding results when they participated in the ICAS tests this year. ICAS tests are developed by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), UNSW Global Pty Limited and are conducted annually across Australia and 12 other countries.
“The Science International Competitions and Assessment for Schools provide extensive independent evaluations of students’ skills and knowledge and understanding in core learning areas. These skills and understandings are important indicators of success in school and beyond,” said Penny Hutton, Assessment Manager at EAA. “All students from Coonabarabran High School are to be congratulated on their significant achievements.”

Geoffrey Lee and William Fosdick received Credits.
Marcus Young and Victoria Lee attained Distinctions.
Kevin Lee achieved an excellent result of a High Distinction.
