Year 11 Music students celebrated the ending of their Preliminary Year work and the start of the Year 12 Music Course by giving a small concert held in the grounds of the Senior Quadrangle. Our musicians sang, played the piano, and accompanied some of the singing on the guitar. Sarah Martin, was joined by her sister Alyssa for a lovely arrangement of Amazing Grace, Rhiannon Bowden sang Eva with her sister Caitlyn, and Deniz Ozkaran gave his first performance in Australia by singing, and playing the electric guitar, for the Metallica piece: Nothing Else Matters. Chanel McGlashan, Isabel Enks and Sarah Martin created close harmony in their performance of Just Trust Me while Jessica Staniforth created soft rhythms on the djmebe. Jessica also sand the Evanescence song My Immortal accompanied by Rhiannon Bowden on piano. Isabel Enks performed her own composition for piano, and all the girls came together to finish the concert with a great rendition of Your Biggest Fan. The audience and performers agreed that this was a lovely venue for the Soiree and future events will be planned.
