On Saturday afternoon, 1 November, a group of locals set out to discover the delights of Coonabarabran’s local wineries. With Kevin Sharp at the wheel of Coonabarabran High School’s mini bus, we sampled wine at Timor Valley Estate Vineyard, Coonandry Wines, Wattagan Estate Winery & Warrumbungle Winery (Blowfly). A big thank you to all our hosts and hostesses, especially to Darren, Caron & Samara Harris at Blowfly who did a wonderful job providing us with lots of wine, hors-d’oeuvres & coffee till the sun went down. The day was superb - everyone enjoyed good wine, good company, beautiful gardens and breathtaking scenery, while at the same time supporting Coona High’s P & C.
